Ukrtransgaz remains a reliable partner to foreign companies storing gas in Ukraine

According to the official information of the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, 43 air targets were destroyed across the entire Ukrainian territory in the enemy attack on Sunday morning. 18 missiles and 25 strike drones. Although most of them were successfully taken down, few hit our facilities.

No critical damage was caused. We are continuing to withdraw gas and accept nominations for capacity booking. Immediately after the strike we implemented the Emergency Response Plan. We temporarily halted gas withdrawal from this particular gas storage facility until the damage could be assessed. Meanwhile, we compensated for the limited withdrawal with reserves stored in other underground gas storage facilities.

In the past day, we fully localized the consequences of the attack and commenced repairs. Due to reconstruction works, there will be an insignificant decrease in withdrawal capacities until the repairs are complete. Currently, the storage is offering a daily capacity of 73.8 mcm for booking, compared with the 78 mcm before the attack. We maintain sufficient reserves in both injection and withdrawal capacities.

There will be no changes to the technical capacities for injection. We have ample resources—both equipment and personnel—to conduct restoration works, including through our service branches.
