Ukrtransgaz and Metinvest will manufacture field stoves and sapper crampons for the military

Ukrtransgaz – the Storage System Operator of Ukraine and the Metinvest Group have organized joint production of items necessary for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The metallurgical company transferred more than 6 tons of metal products. It is planned to build approximately 5 thousand products from these materials at the production facilities of Ukrtransgaz in the coming months, including sapper crampons for territory remote demining, various types of field stoves, fire extinguishers, etc. They will be handed over to the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are deployed directly on the front line.

Since the beginning of full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, both companies have been actively supporting the defenders of Ukraine – the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military units. In particular, Metinvest regularly delivers bulletproof vests, Kevlar helmets, tactical equipment to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Emergency Service, Police, etc. Metallurgists have mastered their own production of plates for high-quality bulletproof vests.

At the same time, Ukrtransgaz has been independently collecting funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, the company has established serial production of metal products and in recent months has already produced and handed over 1.6 thousand means for vehicle compulsory stop, 1 thousand sapper crampons and 200 stoves of various types to the military.

"Our joint project with the Metinvest Group is one of the best examples of how Ukrainian companies should join their forces to help our military. Since the beginning of war, Ukrtransgaz has been building and handing over a range of metal products, which are in great demand among our defenders, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense units and State Emergency Service based on its own drawings and designs. At the same time, metal products handed over to us by Metinvest make it possible to fully load the available production capacities and significantly increase productivity," commented Sergii Pereloma, acting General Director of Ukrtransgaz.

"Stopping aggression of the Russian Federation is a goal that now unites both individual Ukrainians and big business. We are clearly aware that we can overcome the enemy only with joint efforts. Therefore, the joint project with Ukrtransgaz is another step towards the victory of Ukraine. I believe that Metinvest's metal combined with the skill and knowledge of colleagues from Ukrtransgaz will be a useful reinforcement for the defenders. And while the military defends the country's independence on the front line, we hold the line on the steel front," noted Yuriy Ryzhenkov, General Director of the Metinvest Group.
