In January-April this year 2 318 mcm of gas were injected into Ukrainian storage facilities – 33% above 2019 figures.

European gas storage is almost full to the brim – and with the mild weather, coronavirus lockdowns hitting demand and an over-supplied market, levels are not likely to drop soon.

Ukrtransgaz is completing the withdrawal season and is preparing to inject gas to the underground storages. Currently customers can order both of these services.

Ukrtransgaz has accomplished its annual inspection of all, except the one, cross-border gas metering, and gas flow measurement stations at the entry/exit points from the gas transmission system.

For the nine months of 2019, JSC Ukrtransgaz invested UAH 3.988 billion (excluding VAT) in ensuring the reliable operation of the gas transmission system of Ukraine. It is 26% more than in the same period of the last year and the highest amount in the previous six years.

Ukrtransgaz started works on the modification of the Hrebeniki gas metering station, located on the border with Moldova in the Odesa region. A new gas pipeline will be installed at the facility to ensure reverse gas measurements without changes to the gas metering equipment. The project scheduled finish date is November 1.

At Komarno compressor station of Ukrtransgaz (Lviv region), a complex of construction and installation works on connection of a new technological section of the jumper pipeline has been completed.
