Ukrtransgaz has started a season of gas injection into the underground storages
The Ukrtransgaz team started a new season of gas injection into the underground storages. Compared to previous years, this year withdrawal season was shorter. That was due to favorable weather conditions and a relatively warm winter. During the withdrawal season, namely from November 7, 2022, 5.572 bcm of gas was lifted from the underground gas storages.
“This year heating season was a very difficult one, but the Ukrtransgaz team is firmly holding an energy front and is ready for any challenges. Despite all the difficulties associated with the full-scale invasion of russia, the underground storages have been operating uninterruptedly and continue to work in a normal mode,” said Roman Maliutin, Acting General Director of Ukrtransgaz, the Storage System Operator of Ukraine.
