Ukrtransgaz regulates mutual obligations with Axpo Ukraine

July 23, 2019, Kyiv – Ukrtransgaz has entered into an Agreement on settlement of mutual obligations with Axpo Ukraine LLC for the amount of UAH 293.7 million. The Agreement stipulates full payment by Ukrtransgaz until July 31, 2019 for the gas supplied in May and June, and from the side of Axpo Ukraine – waiving of any property rights and other claims.

It should be pointed out that Ukrtransgaz has already settled indebtedness in the amount of UAH 1.47 billion due to  the Agreement on debt restructuring with Eru Trading LLC.

Ukrtransgaz also plans to conclude a similar agreement with Trafigura Ukraine LLC in the near future in the amount of UAH 1.06 billion.

At the moment, the largest debt for natural gas supplied to Ukrtransgas this year was formed to the Naftogaz of Ukraine JSC – UAH 1.96 billion.

It is worth reminding that following budget deficit in Ukrtransgaz caused by economically unjustified tariffs established for GTS Operator and also by unauthorized natural gas withdrawal from GTS by region DSO (oblgases) being neglected by the Regulator (NEURC) result in company’s impossibility to meet suppliers’ and contractors’ payment obligations for fuel gas and transportation services.
