A representative from the Slovak TSO Eustream appointed as a regulatory affairs advisor to the new Ukrainian gas transmission operator.

July 12, 2019, Kyiv – Michal Lalik, a representative of the neighboring Eustream, has joined the team of experts from European gas transport companies helping to build an independent GTS Operator in Ukraine.

 

He was appointed from July 1, 2019, as an adviser to the General Director of the Branch "GTS Operator of Ukraine" Ukrtransgaz JSC on regulatory affairs.

 

Mr. Lalik started his career at Eustream in 2011. In 2017 he was appointed as the Head of Regulation and Network Development. His experience includes the development of the regulatory framework to implement the process of certification  of the Slovak GTS operator.

 

Thus, currently, the five advisers to the General Director of the Branch "GTS Operator of Ukraine", who represent the European Consortium of the Gas Companies, are working on the development and implementation of management and production processes of the future GTS Operator of Ukraine. They represent Eustream (Slovakia), GRTgaz (France), Gasunie (Netherlands) and SNAM (Italy). These leading players in the gas market of the EU support the process of unbundling of the Ukrainian GTS and interested in further participation in the management of the system.
