Security of Ukrainian GTS
Ukrainian gas transmission system is one of the most transparent and secure in Europe and the company “UKRTRANSGAZ”, as its operator, is a modern and reliable enterprise improving its operation in line with European standards.
Reliability
For the period of last 20 years, the incident rate for gas pipelines of Ukraine hasn’t exceeded the level of 0.06 incidents per 1000 km. Alongside with this level, the incident rate for Russian gas pipelines was at the level of 0.22 incidents per 1000 km.
PJSC UKRTRANSGAZ has increased funding for 66 % - 699 million UAH to provide maintenance of gas pipelines. These funds were directed to maintenance of 95 km of gas pipelines i.e. 3 % and 11% more than in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
The company is in process of preparing its infrastructure for a new heating season as well as conducts preventive maintenance on gas pipelines, through which natural gas is transported to European and Balkan States’ consumers.
Transparency
Transparency platform is available since 2014. Furthermore, updated information about free capacity and natural gas flow via territory of Ukraine, UGS facilities, domestic gas production and procurement procedures is available on the website. Information regarding gas quality in Ukrainian regions is also monthly reported. Also information about UKRTRANSGAZ activities can be found on transparency platform of ENTSOG.
Modern company
Realization of the main aim of PJSC UKRTRANSGAZ - to be integrated to European GTS, is impossible without advanced method of management. TUV SUD, an international representative of certification authority, conducted management system audit in UKRTRANSGAZ last year in December.
