PJSC “UKRTRANSGAZ” and GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. decided to extend the deadline for submission of a capacity request forms under the non-binding market screening procedure until 8th of June 2018
26 April 2018, Kyiv / Warsaw – In line with the Rules of a non-binding market screening procedure for the Capacity at the Poland-Ukraine Border published on 6th of April 2018, the market participants were obliged to submit the Capacity Request Forms until 30 April 2018,16:00 (CEST) at the latest. However, due to the several requests received from the market participants regarding the possible extension of the time schedule of the procedure, both TSOs have decided to extend the deadline for submission of the Capacity Request Forms until 8th of June 2018, 16:00 (CEST).
The new deadline for submission of the Capacity Request Forms shall secure sufficient time for the market participants to estimate their interest in the Capacity at the Poland–Ukraine border, in both directions of the flow and to submit the Capacity Request Forms.
Therefore, both TSOs publish the updated version of the Rules of a non-binding market screening procedure for the Capacity at the Poland-Ukraine Border with changes introduced in point 2.5 of the said Rules
(Schedule of the procedure).
On 6 April 2018, the TSOs of Ukraine and Poland launched the non-binding market screening procedure, which aim was to estimate the level of market participants’ demand for the Capacity at the Poland–Ukraine border and to create basis for further enhancement of the integrity of the regional markets through expansion of the Polish and Ukrainian gas transmission networks. The results of the market screening procedure shall constitute the basis for the TSOs decision on the future binding allocation procedure (Open season) for the firm capacities at the Poland–Ukraine border, in both directions of the flow. The demonstrated market interest will be the basis for the decision on building of the new interconnection.
We kindly remind you, that in order to participate in the assessment, market participants shall fill in «Capacity request form» in accordance with the Rules of the market screening (updated version) and send the filled-in form to PJSC “UKRTRANSGAZ” and GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. in the period between 6 April and 8 June 2018 to the addresses specified in the Rules. All questions regarding the assessment or the capacity request form shall be sent to email addresses businesscooperation@utg.ua and openseason@gaz-system.pl.
PJSC “UKRTRANSGAZ” and GAZ-SYSTEM.S.A. will assess the received capacity request forms and will publish the results of the assessment by the 13th of July 2018.
